Over and over again, one of the main things I practice in my life, and especially in my parenting, is the counter instinctual move toward my uncomfortable feelings instead of away from them.
 
Of course, as a child, none of us were able to tolerate the intensity in our little bodies when big feelings with big sensations arose.
